What is Christ Community Bible Academy?

Mark Dever, pastor at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington D.C., stated once that the church's commission is to raise up leaders.  Unfortunately, in recent years, the church has delegated this task to parachurch organizations, like Bible colleges and seminaries.  While these structures provide excellent opportunities for training, nothing truly beats being trained in the church itself.  It is time for the local church to step up to the task and train a new generation of leadership for the rest of the 21st century.

Christ Community Bible Academy was commissioned by the elders of Christ Community Church in late 2008 to accomplish the above mission. Our training includes not only hands-on ministry opportunities, but also intentional theological and biblical training. It is the desire of the church leadership to offer high quality, but low cost courses in order to train both our own people and others from area churches to more effectively teach God's Word and shepherd God's people.  Our desire is that people will become better teachers of God's Word, "not out of self-glorification, or a misplaced trust in our own importance, but simply because we want to communicate the life-changing message of the Bible more clearly and compellingly to our hearers".[1]

It is our hope and desire that you will be challenged and blessed by CCBA.
