Our Vision: The Church would be filled with leaders equipped to build up the body of Christ Eph. 4:11-12

Our Goals: To provide biblical training to men and women who either are in church leadership or desire to be in church leadership.

Our Focus: Devotional theology, where both the mind and heart are targeted in the various classes.

Our Students: All are welcomed at our academy. We do specially focus on people currently in ministry who want more training or those thinking of ministry in the future. Specifically, we equip child, youth, and adult Sunday school teachers, deacons, church committee chairs, Bible study leaders, women’s ministry leaders, interns, those thinking of missionary work, etc.

Our Programs: We have 2 tracks that students can follow:

Certificate Track: The certificate track is meant to purposely train leaders and potential leaders in the church to more effectively engage in ministry. The certificate is significant for Christ Community Church in that it indicates a basic level of completed study that is helpful for those desiring to be in teaching positions within our church. The certificate may or may not be recognized by other churches or organizations. In order to obtain a certificate, the student is expected to complete the following courses: CCBA 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, two courses of 110, and 120. The student will complete 10 courses overall for a total of 30 units. In order to move on through the curriculum, the student must complete all assignments for each course and obtain a pass mark.

Audit Track: If a student wants exposure to various courses and course content, but do not have the time for the certificate track, he or she can audit various courses. The student is expected to attend all class sessions and engage with the material, but is not required to complete the reading or other assignments. If a student decides to change his or her track to the certificate track, the assignments for the certificate track courses must be completed with a pass mark.

Our Curriculum:

CCBA 100 – Hermeneutics: How to Study the Bible (3 units)

CCBA 101 – Survey of the Old Testament (3 units)

CCBA 102 – Survey of the New Testament (3 units)

CCBA 106 – Christian Apologetics (3 units)

CCBA 110 – Special Topics (3 units) Taken twice

CCBA 120 – Ministry Internship (3 units)

Delivery of Curriculum: Most classes occur one at a time once a week for a period of 6-8 weeks. There is a 2 week break between classes. Most students can complete the certificate program in about 2 years. All classes take place on the campus of Christ Community Church. In the future, we are planning on recording our classes and offering them through the web so some people can learn from a distance. The certificate and audit track options will be available through this method of delivery.

Cost: The certificate student pays a $20 registration fee for each class taken. This fee goes to pay for any materials, copies, books, etc. made available in class. The price for auditing a course is $10. Scholarships are available to those in need. The student is responsible for buying their own books. Copies of class texts are on reserve in the church library for those who are unable to purchase their own copy.
